This is a part of the opening page for Streetwise (Autobigraphical Stories by Comic Book Professionals); properly introducing the contents of the book.
Here is a collecton of works of famous comic artists that represent their true life stories. This first batch is taken from "Streetwise" (Twomorrows Publishing, 2000); the second will be from "AutobioGraphix" (Dark Horse, 2003) and there might be some more.
I'll just put on some images now; more images and detailed captions will follow (I hope) soon.

ReplyDeleteYah Put, ini emang karya unik. Lagpula ini cergam pertama yg dapet Pulitzer: bukti bahwa cergam bukanlah sekedar media hiburan haha-hihi belaka.
ReplyDeleteWah bagus dan banyak sekali koleksinya. Kampung Boy-nya Lat dan Phdcomics-nya Jorge Cham juga masuk kategori Autobiographics, mba.
ReplyDeleteOhh iya, sayang saya belom punya Lat (di sini adanya versi Perancis.. makk.. mendingan beli versi Melayunya toh). Phd comics juga lucu tuh.. hehe.. nanti saya masukin ke kumpulan bio yg versi online. Makasih masukannya :)

ReplyDeleteah ini emang manusia edan.. panel2 berikutnya makin kacau lagi, salah satu gargoyle-nya tiba2 hidup, jadi raksasa! kualitas gambarnya konsisten!

iya tuh.. baca albumnya yg the apprentice deh, itu semi-autobiografinya dia juga.. pantang menyerah!
