Dhanu has watched Totoro once, when he was much younger. It's only recently (starting about a couple of weeks ago) that he watches the movie again, along with Lindri. These kids have special expressions on their faces everytime they watch Totoro; like an amazement, mixed with wonder and excitement. They are really absorbed by the characters and the story; how everything sounds and moves.
Knowing Dhanu, he would draw what he likes and he did, for Totoro. Yesterday, coming back from Delft, I found him waving a piece of paper at me: his drawing of Totoro holding an umbrella while laughing (because the rain water drops and makes loud noise on the umbrella). - a scene he likes a lot. Sybrand said he did the drawing in five minutes, really concentrating, and here's the result:
I can be a bragging mother once in a while, can't I? hee hee..
