This morning, around 07.00, as I was preparing myself to go to ITB's basketball field, Syb shouted from the backyard, "Kids, come here! There's a small rabbit in our backyard!". I went downstairs first, followed by a cautious Dhanu and an eager Lindri. "There", Syb pointed to the direction of our bikes' parking space, "Hiding behind a bush".
It's small and black all over, save for a strike along its nose and neck. Its fur is thick and fluffy, and it doesn't stop nibbling whatever comes within its mouth's range. Nobody knows where it came from; it just suddenly appeared.
Too bad I couldn't stay longer to greet our guest properly for I was already late. But I saw it again in the afternoon after coming back from ITB. It still continues its previous activity: hopping around, hiding, nibbling. We provided a cardboard box and some kangkung (spinach-like veggie), but it jumped off and ran back to the garden. Well, I hope it survives the nocturnals - beasts that roam our yard in the small hours of nights.
