Say "Bye" to My Indigo iMac

Yesterday afternoon, at around 4-5pm, suddenly the sky was full of thunder and lightning. The rain fell fiercely, not dropping water but pouring waterfalls. We, as usual, were busy on our computers. I was about to log out and turn mine down, but it was too late! All of a sudden, a sharp, white lightning came by and *BZZT!* went my iMac. The screen turned black, and it reeked of burnt smell. I quickly turned off the main power and thought, "That's it".

When the rain subdued, we checked everything. Our cable's gone, iMac dead, modem.. who knows. So, for a while, there won't be any browsing or uploading for me :( Just be lucky that our iBook is still functioning, and that we can still use our Speedy Internet. Until next time, people!

The 'Mac-doctor' came and examined my iMac. He said the power supply is completely down and he suspected that the 'playback' (that reflects to the screen) got it as well. He admitted that he's not able to fix this, due to a difficulty in acquiring components for the iMac. He suggested to bring it to Jakarta. The chance to have it completely fixed? 50-50.
Now I'll just wait until somebody from Jakarta come to Bandung with a car (perhaps my brother, this weekend?) and ask him to bring this iMac along when he goes back - to Ratu Plaza!
